I have always been a people person and have enjoyed living a very full life to date. I was born in Papua New Guinea and grew up in Alice Springs before moving to Newcastle in my early teens. I then left home at 16, moved to Sydney to begin an apprenticeship as a chef and spent the next 30 years in hospitality. 

Somewhere along the way, my heart started pulling me towards people and community. That led me into working with young people and eventually charities both here and in the UK before joining the community team in the mutual banking sector. The Fundraising Guy felt like a natural and necessary step in my journey. 

I'm a husband of 22 years, dad of two, and we call beautiful Lake Macquarie home. Life's pretty busy with two dogs, plenty of sport, and dreaming about the next blue-water holiday.
